History

Ogilvie Raceway is a high-banked 3/8 mile oval dirt track, conveniently located on Highway 23 near Ogilvie, Minnesota. The original owners, Corey Owens and Lucas Ostermann began construction on the new track and entertainment facility in 2008. The 80 acre complex now includes over 12,000 square feet of climate controlled spaces, featuring a full kitchen, bar and restaurant area, hospitality kiosks and display areas, modern restrooms and VIP suites. The meticulously maintained grounds also include south facing grandstands, high quality lighting, a state-of-the-art public address system and a trackside tailgating section along the turns where fans can watch the action from the comfort of their car, the back of their pickup truck or in their RV. Corey and Ginger Owens had the drivers and fans in mind when they built Ogilvie Raceway.

In 2015, the Wagamon Family purchased Ogilvie Raceway. With nearly 60 years as business owners in the automotive industry, they bring a passion for racing, family values and excitement to an already great racetrack. During their first season of ownership they gave some lucky fans the opportunity to experience the thrill of racing by allowing them to ride shotgun in a Modified racecar (The Two-Seater Experience). They also added a large upper level party room and bar called the Champions Club and in 2016 an oversized deck was added to allow fans even better viewing and entertainment options. Due to the growing car counts and fan base, more grandstands were brought in (originally from Daytona Speedway) and outdoor suites were added for more viewing options.

The entire Wagamon family is actively involved in the day-to-day operations at the track. Whether it be the youngest grandchildren selling souvenirs or concessions, or any of the other dozen children and grandchildren working the parts trailer, bartending, cleaning up the grounds, or helping in any way necessary, to Wally Wagamon greeting and thanking the fans for their support of this wonderful track. The drivers put on a great show every week at Ogilvie Raceway and the Wagamon family’s goal is to provide the most exciting and enjoyable atmosphere for all fans and drivers. The entire team at Ogilvie Raceway is very excited about the 2024 season schedule and look forward to making the overall experience at Ogilvie Raceway even better in 2024 and beyond!
